The little port in Mondello

A sleeping dog with its snout resting on the sea, almost getting its nostrils wet.

A small quay full of hand-painted wooden boats.

Some fisherman refreshing the paint on the sun-faded side.

A small square full of bars and restaurants whose din is covered by the sound of the waves that gently caress the banks of the promenade.

A blue stain that is one with the sky and that can only be distinguished thanks to some white clouds that are placed on it.

A golden beach that patiently welcomes the movement of the waves and lets itself be shaped by the wind and the water.

This is the view of those who pass by the small port of Mondello. A PACIFIC and S L O W view.

Which begins, in fact, with the glance turned to a sleeping dog and that with its staning paws seems to tell you that you have returned home and that you can leave all your worries behind, a very reliable friend who anxiously awaits his master and that calms down as soon as he sets foot home.

And the same feelings of joy and reassurance are also felt by the owner as soon as he hugs his most trusted friend after a whole day and truly forgets the difficulties he has just experienced.

Mondello is exactly like that: he is a patient dog who awaits you and welcomes you with joy in his heart.

Mondello is a safe harbor.

The image of the sleeping dog is a reference to the particular shape of Monte Pellegrino, the mountain of the Palermitans which is clearly visible from the small port of Mondello village.
